Role Overview:

As a Senior Software Systems Engineer, you will lead efforts in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems that drive organizational success and innovation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the software systems are robust, secure, and scalable to meet company and client needs. Your expertise will help guide architecture decisions and implement best practices in software engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Software System Design & Development:

  • Lead the design and development of innovative software systems to support business goals.
  • Ensure system architecture aligns with organizational standards and scalability requirements.
  • Design and implement software solutions that are maintainable, efficient, and secure.

System Performance Optimization:

  • Enhance system performance and reliability through regular assessment and optimization.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to meet performance expectations.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to track and analyze system performance metrics.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and systems architects to deliver high-quality results.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members across departments.

Quality Assurance and Best Practices Implementation:

  • Implement software engineering best practices and develop process improvements where necessary.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure high standards of software quality and security.
  • Strengthen software reliability through comprehensive testing and quality assurance.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on systems engineering.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python, and experience with software development frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems and software architecture principles.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar are advantageous.
